Government Koperasi Loan for Chinese

The purpose of this Government Koperasi Loan is to help Malaysian Chineses small hawkers and small traders in need create business opportunities through micro-loans to improve their living standards.

The foundation will carry out activities that can benefit hawkers and small traders. However, the main project is to operate a micro credit scheme declared by the YAB Prime Minister in the 2015 Budget. The government has provided a soft loan of  70 million ringgit for Chinese hawkers and small traders . Currently, the foundation will help the government to handle micro credit of Chinese hawkers and small traders.

The Government Koperasi Loan have 2 funding scheme:

Micro Credit Scheme
upto 20k for hawkers or small trader which wanted startup a new business or expand exiting business or purchase new machines and furniture etc. Click here

Tranformation Scheme
upto 50k for hawker or small trader wanted to transform or upgrade their business to another level like from Retail to e-Commerce setup app or website, from hawker to retail shop or from hawker store to be cafe with air condition. Click here
 

Micro Credit Scheme

Terms and conditions of the Micro Credit Scheme

 

For Applicants

 

  1. Applicants must be registered as hawkers or petty traders with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and local authorities (PBT) in Peninsular Malaysia and only registered with PBTs in Sabah and Sarawak 

  2. Aged between 18 to 60 years; Malaysian Citizen (Non -Bankrupt)

  3. Recommended by the Hawkers and Petty Traders Association or a registered Business Association

  4. Loan limit from RM 5,000 to RM 20,000

  5. Interest rate of 4% per annum

  6. Installment period from 2 to 5 years (24 to 60 months)

  7. The method of repayment of installments is through the designated bank branches.

  8. Malaysian Chinese (Non bankruptcy)

 

For Guarantors

 

  1. Malaysian Citizen (Non -Bankrupt)

  2. Aged between 18 to 60 years

  3. Minimum income of RM1,500 per month
